Sunset in Costa de la Calma

Mallorca in winter – why the off-season is the best time here

Villa Casablanca sits in Costa de la Calma in the south-west of Mallorca – and that is what makes it a winter villa. The sun rises in the east and fills the house in the morning. In the evening it sets straight into the sea in the west. The terrace gets sun all day.

In winter it is often still 18 degrees. In October you can still swim in the sea. When the evenings get cooler: fireplace, underfloor heating, sauna and jacuzzi.

Sunset behind Ibiza. From September to May, on a clear day, the sun sets right behind Ibiza – visible from the jacuzzi on the roof terrace. In summer it sets elsewhere, so this view belongs to the off-season.

What to do in winter. Road and mountain biking straight into the hills, hiking, golf, tennis in Peguera. The island is made for sport – especially outside high season, when it is quiet.

Up to 8 guests in 5 bedrooms with 4 bathrooms. Palma is 20 minutes away.
